Irene Hagan
Irene Hagan is an accomplished business leader, Board Chair, Chartered Accountant and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) with more than 20 years of international leadership experience across finance, governance, technology strategy, digital transformation, risk management, compliance and internal audit.
Throughout her career, Irene has worked with leading multinational organisations, including FTSE 100 companies across the telecommunications, financial services and consulting sectors. Her experience spans developed and emerging markets, giving her a broad perspective on the opportunities, challenges and complexities faced by organisations at different stages of their growth journey.
She is passionate about helping organisations build the capabilities, governance structures and strategic clarity they need to perform effectively, manage risk and achieve sustainable growth.
Irene founded IHagan Consult with a clear purpose: to help organisations strengthen their businesses by combining strategic insight, practical expertise and capacity building.
Since its establishment, IHagan Consult has provided business advisory and capacity-building services to clients across a variety of industries.
Irene brings to her consulting work a distinctive combination of financial expertise, governance experience, technology knowledge and strategic leadership. This enables IHagan Consult to look beyond individual business problems and consider the wider organisational picture: strategy, people, processes, technology, risk and governance.
A Career Built on Transformation
Before establishing IHagan Consult, Irene held senior leadership roles with organisations including Vodafone, PwC and KPMG, where she worked on complex international engagements involving financial governance, technology risk, internal audit, business transformation and regulatory compliance.
These experiences have shaped Irene's approach to consulting: practical, commercially focused and grounded in the realities of running and transforming organisations.

Leadership & Governance
Alongside her consulting career, Irene has held significant governance and leadership responsibilities. She currently serves as Board Chairperson of Guaranty Trust Bank, Ghana, where she chairs the Main Board and serves on the Cyber Risk and Information Security Committee. She is also the ICAEW Contact Member for Ghana, serving as an ambassador and point of contact for ICAEW members in the country.
Her Board and Executive experience provides an important dimension to her advisory work: she understands the expectations of Boards, CEOs, CFOs and senior leadership teams, as well as the practical realities of implementing change within complex organisations

Irene believes that the most valuable consulting engagements are those that leave organisations stronger than when they started. Rather than simply providing recommendations, IHagan Consult focuses on transferring knowledge, developing internal capability and equipping teams with practical tools and frameworks that can continue to deliver value.
Irene holds an MBA from Hult International Business School and a BSc (Honours) in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
Her leadership has also been recognised through awards including the Visionary Woman Board Chair Award at the 2025 National Governance & Business Leadership Awards and recognition as a Ghana Women of Excellence Awards 2026 recipient.
